Where your Yearweave data lives
Yearweave does not create a Yearweave account and the developer does not operate a separate Yearweave server database. Your chapters and related content are stored on your device. If private iCloud sync is available and enabled, Apple CloudKit may also sync that content through your iCloud account.
Delete individual content in Yearweave
To remove a chapter or the notes, media, links, and file references attached to it, use the delete controls in the relevant Yearweave screen. If iCloud sync is active, allow time for your device to connect so the deletion can synchronize with iCloud and your other signed-in devices.
Delete local Yearweave data
To remove Yearweave and its local data from an iPhone, touch and hold the Yearweave app icon, choose Remove App, then choose Delete App. Offloading an app is different: it can retain documents and data, so choose Delete App if your aim is to remove local Yearweave data.
Before deleting, consider exporting anything you want to keep. A paid entitlement ending does not itself delete content; Yearweave is designed to retain read and privacy-safe export access to existing content.
Delete iCloud / CloudKit-synced data
If Yearweave has been syncing with iCloud, removing the app from one device may not immediately remove data that remains in iCloud or on another device. First delete the content in Yearweave while it is connected to iCloud, then allow sync to finish on your devices.
You can also review iCloud storage and app data in iPhone Settings under your Apple Account and iCloud storage controls. Apple controls the exact labels and available deletion options, which can vary by iOS version and account configuration. Follow Apple’s current instructions for managing iCloud data if you need to remove remaining app data from iCloud.
Apple backups are separate
Deleting local or iCloud-synced content does not promise immediate removal from every Apple backup. Device and iCloud backups are governed by Apple’s backup retention and restoration behavior. If you restore an older backup, previously deleted content may reappear; delete it again in Yearweave and let sync complete if applicable.
For current directions on managing iCloud storage and backups, consult Apple Support. Yearweave cannot view, accelerate, or directly erase Apple backups.
