Yearweave is designed as a private year planner. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information Yearweave handles

Yearweave can contain chapters you create, including titles, dates, life areas, notes, links, selected photos, and file references. This content is used only to provide the app’s planning, library, and export features.

Storage and sync

Yearweave stores content on your device. When private iCloud sync is available and enabled for the app, Apple CloudKit may sync this content through your iCloud account. The developer does not operate a separate Yearweave account database and cannot browse your private CloudKit records.

If iCloud is unavailable, Yearweave can continue using local storage. You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate device and iCloud backups.

Calendars

Yearweave requests calendar access only after you choose to add calendar context. Calendar events are displayed as read-only context. Yearweave does not create, edit, or delete events in your calendars.

Photos and files

Yearweave uses Apple’s system photo and document pickers when you choose to add media or a file reference. It does not request broad photo-library access solely to use the system photo picker. Selected content may be copied into Yearweave’s private app storage so it remains available in your chapter.

Purchases

Subscriptions and other in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive your payment-card details. Apple provides purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock paid features and restore purchases.

Analytics, advertising, tracking, and AI

The current version does not include third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party product analytics, or AI services. Yearweave does not send chapter titles, notes, dates, calendar event names, photos, file contents, or other private chapter content to the developer for analytics.

Apple may provide aggregated App Store, purchase, crash, or diagnostic information according to your Apple privacy and diagnostics settings.

Exports

Yearweave provides privacy-safe export options intended to omit private chapter details by default. If you explicitly choose to include details in an export, the selected information is shared through the destination you choose in Apple’s share sheet. Review the preview before sharing.

Data retention and deletion

You can edit or delete your content in the app. Deleting the app removes local app data subject to device backups. Content synchronized through iCloud may remain in iCloud until removed according to Apple’s iCloud and backup behavior.

If a paid entitlement expires, Yearweave is designed to preserve read and privacy-safe export access to existing content rather than deleting it.

For step-by-step deletion information, visit Data deletion.

Children

Yearweave is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected by updating the effective date and publishing the revised policy at the privacy URL linked from the app.
